Mount Auburn Cemetery
JMMDS has designed two gardens at Cambridge’s renowned Mount Auburn Cemetery, the first garden cemetery in the country. At Spruce Knoll, we created a cremation garden, using the image of a waterfall as the main entry steps up to the site. At Willow Knoll, located in the more contemporary part of the cemetery, we used ornamental grasses and curved granite walls to animate an existing Corten-steel sculpture.
