Julie’s article “Marrying Elegant Design & Sustainability” appears in the Feb/Mar 2013 issue of Organic Gardening magazine. It is the first article in Julie’s New Homestead series, which offers an updated definition of the term “homestead” and proposes beautiful design solutions for incorporating sustainability in the home landscape.
Julie’s essay “The Dirty-Minded Gardener” is included in The Roots of My Obsession: Thirty Great Gardeners Reveal Why They Garden, edited by Thomas C. Cooper (Timber Press, 2012). You’ll just have to read it to find out the meaning of that intriguing title!
